XMas is coming.......

Today I sewed some XMas trees for my windows...

draw 3 pieces for the tree , cut out the pattern and
lay it out on coordinating fabric (folded in half so that you have 2 pieces
of each pattern)....

mark and cut out the batting...

I spray-basted the batting (Thermolan) to the fabric (the batting is cut out withour seam allowances)..

sew all around the pieces but don't forget to let an opening for turning inside out--

cut de seam allowances very small and turn inside out...

I allways use a chopstick to turn out the edges neatly...

close all this little openings by hand....

fix the 4 pieces together with thread...

on both sides of my house-door I have a small window...
I made 4 of these little Xmas trees and taped them on both sides in the windows...

the pattern for this lovely little box is from the black forest quilters in Germany,

so cute fabrics from the 70.......I bought them 3 weeks ago and am still waiting for an idea.... ;-)

Last week....today, all the snow is gone  :-(
