Hankie bag

More than 10 years ago I made some of this small bags for hankies for my kids......

today I sewed some new ones because the fabric with the little dogs is not so "cool" for a nineteen year old young lady.... :-)

Here's the pattern.....

two different fabrics and a piece of thin batting....

quilt the three layers.......

mark the pattern on the sandwich....

on the long sides the lining fabric has to be 1/2" larger.......

fold in half and press...

fold again and press...

sew it down....

cut two small pieces for closure....

pin them in place......

now the small sides must be closed....

secure by a zig.zag stitch
