Key-doggy
The second doggy is finished and here are the pics....
I took a picture from every single step so I think you don't need much comment :-)
.....
.....
......
draw the two pieces of the mouth to Vliesofix (wonder-under) and iron the Vliesofix to the fabric......
cut the pieces out on the line...
tear away the paper-backing of the Vliesofix and iron the two pieces in place....
under the fabric you can see a piece of tear away stabilizer, necessary to appliqué by machine...
appliqué the pieces with a narrow small zig-zag stitch........
draw the lines for the mouth with a pencil and stitch them with even a smaller narrow zig-zag...
after appliqueing tear away the stabilizer........
draw the pattern on two pieces of batting (I used Thermolan, a thin but strong batting to give the dog a better shape).....
l
sew one outer fabric piece and one lining piece together on the base....
before sewing pin the two pieces together on the line........
........
iron the seam allowance to both sides....
the same for the second piece and pin the batting to the fabric pieces that will show.......
pin the two pieces together on the lines...
.......
......
leave open.......
