Diamond pincushion


I made this one for a special occasion, it is very big..... the pattern size I give you here is for a smaller pincushion, half the size of this one... :-)

Normally I don't work with a pattern, I cut a strip 4" wide and cut the diamonds at a 45 degree angle every 4 1/4"...

you need 8 diamonds, 4 of each colour...

sew two dimonds together, one of each color...as for all set in seams leave 1/4" unsewed at the beginning and at the end...

now you have to sew the points of the star together like this..

don't sew your roraty cutter inside :-)....

Wildflower pincushion.....


I found the pattern for this pincushion, called wildflower-pincushion here..
I made a sunflower pincushion with this pattern.

I sewed the little petals before cutting them out, I think it's easier to do.....
