Quilting

Today I wanted to quilt my "Harlequin"....
this piece is the warm-up quilting :-)
I allways need some warm-up quilting ........
Posted by Picasa

here it is, the finished Harlequin.
It has a very heavy quilting because I wanted the quilt to be very flat, because the quilt will hang on a place where it will be seen also from the side.....

Do you know Popser and Momser?...No???

She is a very talented quilter and he is even more talented in writing.
You will find a lot of stories about the quilts she made and you will learn alot about a quilter's husband and his sometimes soooo difficult life! :-)))

Gingko Quilt....

I finished my "spanish" Gingko Quilt today.
As all the fabrics has Vliesofix (wonder-under) on the back, I can fuse the top to the batting.
Posted by Picasa

I quilted a little bit by hand with pearl cotton Number 8 (only the top and the batting, no backing )
Posted by Picasa

Top and backing, right sides together.....
I sew all around and turn it inside out. In the backing fabric is a slot to turn, this slot will be covered later on by the hanging sleeve.
